not able to shoot animals

me, Koppa and Enz0o were hunting at RFF. First Koppa shot at a male moose and it turned and ran off leaving no blood trail what so ever. it is possible he missed but at 30 ish meters with a scoped muzzy we doubt it. Then Enz0o fired 3 shots with the 9.3x62 Anschutz 1780 D FL. now one of those shots the animal was just standing there with no bushes or trees to be hit between our hunting party and the animal. shots were taken at the crater in the northern part of the map.
