When someone uses a weapon and has their localizations set in another language we see the other language instead of in english. Example.

I would think of that as an opportunity to learn some words and item names in other languages! For example, I see "serpiente" .. which looks like "serpent".. which is a snake... so he was using the Snakebite compound bow! 
A word for word translation I think would be something like "Bow Compound "Bite of Snake"?
