The trunk needs to be the right width, cant be too narrow or the tree stand won't fit, and cant be too wide or the tree stand won't fit. Also, it has to be fairly straight.

I was assuming it had to do with that kind of stuff. I guess I'll start collecting screenshots and ask support about the trees I've found that seem to have all the common sense criteria but don't allow it.
