I do like this idea. Maybe to even make it more challenging have it so one shot kills only count, or, heart lung shots. Having a simple combined weight comp gets too easy if there aren't some kind or requirements, I think anyway. It is a good idea though. Respectfully,

They're popular for elk. I'm not a fan and i'll tell you why.
You can't come close to guessing the weight of a bull elk in the game. You can with the rack and it's more skill to get a winner for best score. Weight comps are pure luck. I've had a 414 bull weigh less than a 320 bull. So, what you end up doing is killing every bull you see and hoping for good luck.
I prefer comps that take some skill instead of luck.
