we should be able to hunt grizzlies over the same carcass that the wolves were eating. No bear in the real world is going to walk by a large dead elk and say: I'll pass!

You've got to know already that these wolves are real picky what they eat,
they don't bother the mule deer, goats, ptarm's, or hunters.
These Grizzly bears are pretty picky too, so far they only like bits & bytes.... Ha ha
I have to agree with you also though... bears forage on anything they can swallow.
I would even like to see wolves & bears eating some mule deer carcasses.

Many animals wont actually touch something that they didnt kill. That said, wolves and bears aren't among them. But why stop at carcasses? Let me drop a doe and use it as a bait sight. Let the trophy value deteriorate, big deal, its a doe.
On the flip side of that coin, you better find that trophy buck you maimed before the bears and wolves do, muahahaha.
