I forgot to mention one nice feature of the trapper tent. You can climb on top and get a bit of a vantage point that way. Pretty cool if you ever fast travel to it and then hear a call or even animals right around you. For that reason it makes sense to place the tent accordingly, i.e. not somewhere hidden under a tree or in a dent.

Thanks for the pics HooCairs. That helps to explain a lot. As I said earlier, I thought the trapper tent didn’t have a fire pit (based on the sale pic). Even though you’ve proven to me that heated tents are not as important as they once were, I still think it would be a great heated tent for Whitetail Ridge. Thanks again for everything
