please, huntermate: beep...
...when you detect a rare at a harvest.
spotting, stalking, shooting, taking a trophy shot and now also beeing able to display the thing in the trophy lodges are the ingredients what makes tH:C so fun to play. so it always hurts me when i miss a rare animal to recognize it as such and dont make a trophy shot.
and there are quite a few where this addition to the huntermate would come in very handy.
for example:
albino goat
melanistic turkey
albino dall sheep and snowshoe hare
maybe blonde/albino grizzlys
and ducks!
its really hard to tell when they are upside down or hidden under the algae if you have a normal gadwall or a mallard hybrid for example.
and who turns around 60 ducks in the trophy shot mode only to determine if it is a rare or a common duck?!
so id like to propose the idea cause i think it would add to the game for experienced players and especially for beginners as sort of a helper-guide.

I agree, an option would be that when you harvest the animal, in the black screen with the animal info and the buttons to "trophy shot" or "resume" add next to the score and weight, etc, "rare" or "common" in a highlighted color, that info shows up in the score sheet after hunt, why don't include right when you pick the animal?, its true that you can miss rares when you are in a hurry, it may not be the case with a huge albino moose, but when your dog its bringing lots of fallen ducks and there is a piebald...

Yeah, the fur (or feather) variation really should be displayed in the harvest sheet in-game. I miss that as well.

Yes this has been asked for many times. You can add melanistic moose to your list.

A general info in the harvestscreen with common or rare/fur or nt would be awesome..
