Modification to the 5.5-22x56mm Rifle Scope

Post by DYEUZ »

Modification to the 5.5-22x56mm Rifle Scope
1 - Replace the red colored cross aim by black .
2 - Relocate the small bottom lines right under center . ( Blue ) At the bottom, they are useless .
3 - Even better , imo, make it like the 12x50mm Rifle Scope ,all equal.

With this one , one can adjust pretty precisely the long shots .
Isn't that what long distance scopes are for , precision !

I do like the red but I do wish the lines were the same as the 12x50

I really don't care about the line color. Even if it was Yellow! :D
But your right, Serge. The bottom lines are really useless right now!

1st pic: I could do with a simple mil dot, red in colour is even better
2nd pic: also i think the Leupold Boone and Crocket or Varmint Hunters reticle would look great

I like the red as it makes it easier to shoot darkly coated animals in bad lighting.

The red color does not bother me so much as all those tick marks making it too busy on the eyes. If they wanted to go with a red sight they could have re-used the air rifle scope. It is much easier on the eyes.

Serge you are definitely right about moving the closer lines on the end up next to the crosshair and after that simply do away with everything after that except the straight line. After all we are only shooting 320m, not 2 miles. Everything is entirely to cluttered as it is, and all those additional crosses simply make no sense at all.

I'm not bothered by the color so I can live with red or black either one. Would really just as soon keep the red, however if if a scope is going to be this busy and cluttered looking at least have markings that serve a purpose. Would love to see this re-made into a mil-dot reticle.
