Another leaver-Action, .30-30 Winchester
Seeing as we already have a .30-06, a .30-30 isn't too much different, but is a much lower velocity round; Not quiet meant for moose, but still good for things like the yotes and smaller game, making a secondary lever action fit into more types of animals. This round doesn't travel very far either making it quite good for the short range the game usually takes part in, as well a lower recoil making it possibly good for strait irons.

In my opinion, this is a natural caliber for lever action, not .30-06. I would love to see one!

I own one of them chambered in 30-30. It's a Marlin 336, exact same stock and everything. Mine has a 2-7x adjustable redfield scope on it. Me and my buddies have killed many a deer and bear with it.CrescentCrux wrote:

They should of went with the 30-06 pump action and made a 30-30 level action. I hunted with a 7600 Remington 30-06 from age 12 till i was 16 one of my favorite rifles i ever owned. Yes i know it was not EW that made the 30-06 but Emote Games. Owned a 30-30 just like this to so would not mind seeing it added to the game.

I had the very same rifle as you Cabelam many years ago. Marlin 336C .30-.30 I miss that old lever action.cabelam wrote:I own one of them chambered in 30-30. Yes, the rifle pictured is a Marlin 30.30.
I've had a Winchester Model94 since 1973 and it is one of the most used and underestimated deer rifles ever made. People often forget it is actually a .308-.309 caliber bullet and while having less powder than the 30.06 is still highly effective and deadly within 100-150yds and even up to 200yds + if used properly.
The Marlin company took the infamous Model94 and improved on the basic design, most notably the side eject and closed top making normal scope mounting possible.
I was surprised to see the lever action in game was in fact a 30.06 rather than 30.30 or 45.70 when I first started playing. I agree that the 30.06 pump would have been a better choice for that caliber.
I haven't used the in game lever action but a friend tells me it is effective and fun to use. It would great though if there was a 30.30, and a 45.70 also. i don't know if they have an exclusive contract with Nosler regarding ammunition but if they were to add the Winchester94, and maybe the Marlin also and made the new Hornady LeverEvolution ammo available it would bring a whole new aspect to game play.
