International Rabbit Day 2022
Happy International Rabbit Day, Hunters!
Or whatever you're supposed to say for it. Anyway, they have a day and we have three of the critters knocking around the EHR. Besides, they're probably plotting world domination, hiding down those burrows for so long, sending coded messages with all that thumping, constantly raising their numbers... This calls for an event! We're back to normal after the Fiesta, with a single Mission and 3 tiered comps over the space of a week BUT the Campaign is going to be a little different this time. Instead of biting and scratching to earn enough point$, team up as a community to slay enough bunnies. On the mission pop-up (use the banner in the launcher or on the website), you'll see a bar for community prizes. Harvest at least 30 bunnies to qualify, slaughter more to fill the bar and gain all your prizes. You do not need to play in multi or single-player, it's up to you how you do your slaying. Gender does not matter. Any Rabbit or Hare harvested in the EHR will count.
Participate for the prizes, the trophies, and the glory! All hunters with enough bunnies at the end of September the 27th will win Community Prizes!
No real bunnies were harmed in the making of this Event.
But before you rush on, remember animals that spawn specifically for missions will no longer count as scorers. No exceptions.
In order to take part in the event, you will have to click on the big banner you will find in the Launcher (or Website) home page:
CALENDAR
Event Duration: 7 days
Start: 21 September 2022 (Wednesday) - morning
End: 27 September 2022 (Tuesday) - 23.59 UTC
CAMPAIGN
The more Bunnies you harvest as a community, the more in-game prizes you are rewarded. Bunnies include all three Leporidae species in the EHR: Cottontail Rabbit, European Rabbit, and Snowshoe Hare. This is how the prize pool looks:
MISSION
This year's mission is called Apex Predator
General Major Petersen here, hunter. It has been brought to my attention that some hare-br-, er, unusual new event demanding the slaughter of our hapless bunnies is underway. I'd like to request that you trim a few predators from the EHR to take some of the strain off the rabbit population. Don't worry about predators where there are no rabbits. Also, if you discover who came up with this scheme, let me know IMMEDIATELY.
The mission will last through the event's duration from the 21st September to 27th September.
Completing it will earn the hunter the following rewards:
COMPETITIONS
You'll be hunting bunnies anyway for the campaign, you might as well take a shot at some trophies and em$ too, right? Qualifying in competitions doesn't net you any special points in this event, since there are none.
Prizes for the competitions look like this:
Each competition comes with 7 tiers based on your Hunter Score:
RULES
What would a game be without rules?
We have one simple rule for our events: No exploitation of existing game mechanics to gain an advantage. All winners' hunts will be checked by EW staff prior to prizes being rewarded, and the decision will be final.
In case of exploits usage, EW has a right to disqualify the player from this event.
SALES
We've got some tasty sales for this event. A number of items will be on sale in the Store, including a juicy 50% discount on a lot of Callers as well as 30% off a variety of weapons.
Make sure to check out the Sale section to see the full list!
That's all folks, any questions, feel free to post them below.
Enjoy all!

Re: International Rabbit Day 2022
Nice competition, much fun!
Interesting, how many burrows are now on BRR and how fast the rabbits come back out of their holes!
Can't remember having so much fun while rabbit hunting in the past. Maybe new "values" for the competition?
If yes, please don't change them back after the comp!!! Feels much more like "pest control" right now!

Re: International Rabbit Day 2022
I think this event would have been a perfect chance to add a few roe-bits. Although they are included into skills and top scores, they have never appearsed again.
They would not have distributed the event and might have created a little bit of additional fun.
Nevertheless, a great concept and I am going to contribute some more bunnies for the community.

Re: International Rabbit Day 2022
How soon does the count on harvests update?
I.E. friend of mine got a score for the cottontail comp,(obviously had to shoot at least 5) but the number says she only harvested 2 rabbits.

Re: International Rabbit Day 2022
Was it a multiplayer game? I'm noticing that the harvest amounts count for the person who harvests the rabbits, not the person who actually killed the rabbits. If she shot 5 but only picked 2 up and someone else picked up the other 3, she would only have 2 towards the main rabbit collection event.DeadClopz wrote:How soon does the count on harvests update?
