This is how I did it:
- Lured a turkey from across a large open field (Whitehart Island west of lake)
- When the turkey was about 90m away, shot next to it with a .223 semi-auto rifle
- Turkey ran and started flying, I aimed at its lower half and shot

I am not at that point, so far but I would recommend the 9,3x74.
If you fire below the body, the recoil should lift the aiming point right into the machine room.
That's what I am going to try, once I get the bloody turkey and coyotes.

Thanks for the help, but I just did it with the .405. I also completed the 3 lynxes and then I'm done. Now I focus on the deer, two already taken remain the other 3: white tail, mule deer and red deer
