Re: Calibre Competition
How about just de-nerfing the one we already have? I used to kill Brown Bears with it at 200m. Now, the bear turns around looks at me, and just laughs, and keeps on waddling away.TreeKiwi wrote:We should start a new campaign #savethe.308Tanngnjostr wrote:I understand. I'd love to see it in .308 for a challenge and game balancing reasons - since it provides help for a stable shot, you should at least be forced to hit a vital - but my experience is that the majority of players are not looking for game balance.TreeKiwi wrote:We actually were not sure how it would go! I was pretty sure the .223 would not feature highly, but I thought perhaps the other 3 would be a bit closer. Like mentioned by Strong, a .243 might have been nice! It is super early days, I have seen polls do stranger things
Once in a while, before waddling away, it holds up a sign that says, "is that you again, TK?"

Re: Calibre Competition
I would make the barrel look a bit thicker like a bull barrel and go with the .308. It will make a great long range target competition rifle with the new deployable targets.

Voted 7mm but if it's going to be .308, make sure that it has good grip on the barrel so it could be used as a club. Since beating animals to dead is the most effective way to kill animals with .308 rifle in this game .

Easily the 7mm, for the versatility and power relative to the other options.

Re: Calibre Competition
Owl here, back from a little break!
I personally voted for the 7mm. I use a Weatherby Mark V Accumark chambered in 7mm Rem. Mag for Hunting in real life. I have to say, it's a great all-round caliber for taking down anything from the medium sized animals such as Whitetail and Mule Deer all the way up to the bigger Elk and Moose. I feel like this would be an excellent caliber for the new gun!
Good Luck out there!
