Re: Calibre Competition (New Voting Options)
Voted for 7mm-08. We already have a 7mm, shooting tripods and I don't see any pros with the new built-in bipod but 7 still sounds better than .223, .243 or .308.

You should do like you did for the .17 HMR and make both rounds available.I have talked to Pat about the Ethical list for the 7mm-08 and we have a few options:
Go a lighter grain bullet and the list will be Fox => Red Deer.
Or go a heavier grain bullet and the list will be Coyote => Elk.

Re: Calibre Competition (New Voting Options)
My new vote is for the 7mm-08. Without a doubt I prefer a caliber that we do not have in the game.
Rare: 153 – Non-Typical: 12
Competitions: 82 – Gold: 25, Silver: 29, Bronze: 23, Events: 5

Voted .308 because I prefer hunting all of the deer species and the .308 is perfect for that.

Re: Calibre Competition (New Voting Options)
I voted 7mm-08 just because we might as well have a new caliber to make things more interesting. It also feels like that would be a step in the right direction because it seems like recently the new weapons that come out have not been new calibers but rather some "new" form of an existing caliber.

I hope you all had a good weekend!
Thanks to Tod's feedback and suggestion, I have reset the poll! On reflection over the weekend, many of you are correct, it is the only way to go forward and have a fair poll. Even if some people do not come back and vote, at least the votes that do come in are 100% accurate. Another deciding factor, was that like I mentioned last week, the voting goes for another 3 weeks. This will give enough time for people to drift back in and notice the change in the poll.
Cheers all and thanks for the constructive feedback.
I have talked to Pat about the Ethical list for the 7mm-08 and we have a few options:
Go a lighter grain bullet and the list will be Fox => Red Deer.
Or go a heavier grain bullet and the list will be Coyote => Elk.
One other option I pitched, just to make it a little different, is that the lighter grain bullet could go, Fox - Rocky Mountain Elk, but not Roosevelt. Because of the weight and size difference, however I am worried this might be confusing for players and I can foresee a lot of "Why can I shoot one Elk, but not the other?" type of questions. However it would be a nice compromise for some players who have spotted the Fox-> Elk gap in rifles.
Cheers all,
TK
Does the definitive list for the 7mm-08 will be decided and published before the end of the poll? if not, what about let players choose with another poll, after all, if we are choosing the caliber, players may well choose which ethical list to use too. I am assuming of course the 7mm-08 will be the winner option since have a large advantage atm.
