Okay, I go for a delayed Storytelling, short and detailed after expiration of competition
Today's hunt started pretty nice, after tracking a Red Deer I got Tracking Skill 20. This is just my day I was thinking.
Later in the hunt I found 2 Roe Deer Tracks, but they where both speachless, they didnt want to make any calls.
I send my pointing dog Sugar out to see if she can find some Roes, but at the same time I got a call from one of them.
Quick and dirty I find a good calling spot, I called for the Roe and sneak backwards to hide flat on the ground.
Suddenly I hear something walking close, but Sugar is detecting a Roe further away.
I see a Roe comming, stopped, and sniffed the air around. I hold my breath of course, both in-game and irl.
Then the Roe desided to lay down and sleep right in front of me. Is it possible I was thinking!
Then the second Roe came walking, he did the same, stopped, sniffed the air, and sniffed a bit on his Roe friend too.
Me, yes, I hold my breath for the second time.
He desided to lay down right next to the other one, and I was thinking, is this even possible?
Then it was no more Mr. Nice Guy...
I pulled up my .30-06 Bolt Action Rifle Classic, reloaded with full chamber, and dropped them both on the spot.
This was a very good hunt indeed, and when I harwest I see the achievement unlocked: 500 Roe Deer.
Here is a picture series, the Trophy Shot is at the bottom.
