Last night I was following/spooking a black bear for over an hour in a hunt for BCKidd's 2nd Annual RFF Fall Hunt competition. The bear and I started at one feeder, and by sheer luck of his own chosen route, ended up going right to my other feeder. I thought I'd head to my tower at the feeder while he calmed down and just wait for him there. I got to my tower, totally expecting to see him on his way to me, and was shocked that I couldn't re-locate him at all. Then I heard a heavy rustle, looked down, and saw two huge tubs lookin' right back up at me. Ninja'd by a bull moose! My heart started thumpin' and stayed that way until long after finally clicking the taxidermy button. He is now my PB Moose, beating my old PB by nine points, and will be placed in my lodge the minute I start my next hunt.
