German Translation

Post by HooCairs »

Many thanks for the German localization. Changed my website to German out of interest. Can we collect all suggestions for text changes here? I know a few things were suggested already.

Feral Hog ("Wildes Schwein") -> "Wildschwein" (even though it is not the same as the European Wildschwein)

Locale ("Lokale") -> "Region" or "Regionale Einstellungen"

Leaderboard droptown "Jeder" -> "Alle"

Skills ("Fertigkeiten") -> "Fähigkeiten"

Gallery ("Bildgalerie") -> "Bildergalerie"

My Wallet ("Meine Brieftasche") -> "Mein Konto"

My Hunts ("Abgeschlossene Jagdsitzungen") -> "Meine Jagden" or simply "Jagdstatistik"

Don't call a feral hog Wildschwein ;) "verwildertes Schwein" fits much better.

The 12GA shells should be called 12/70 (or /76), the "Bock Posten" "Rehposten" and the handgun ammo "Revolverpatronen" instead of "handgun Patronen"

Very nice. A few improvement sugestions in the area, Fähigkeiten / Waffen.

Bolt Action Rifle (Wood) (Composite) = Geradezugrepetierbüchse (Holz) (Kunststoff bzw. Verbundstoff)
Lever Action Rifle = Unterhebelrepetierbüchse
Side by Side Shotgun = Doppelflinte
Pump Action Shotgun = Vorderschaftrepetierflinte
Compound Bow = Compoundbogen

Maybe better:

My Account = Mein Benutzerkonto

My Wallet = Mein Guthaben

It's no "Geradezug", it's a standard bolt action. Strictly speaking, it's not even a repeating rifle because of the missing magazine ;)

Maybe someone should move this thread into the new sub-forum.

Yes, you are right (thank you for watching) and I had forgotten the missing magazine. :lol:

Einzelladerbüchse would be correct. ;)

The screen of the hunting statistics is to small:

I wouldn´t say "Spuren verfolgt". I would say: "Verfolgte Spuren.
