What happened?
Well i shoot a Feral hog from quite close range from a tree stand with the Compound bow "Parker Python" - Camo
With The standard Arrows.
Bow equipped with the 5-pin Range finder bow sight.
Got a Lungs/heart hit but the hog ran away.
I thought well it will be quite close even if just hit one lung they use to die "rather" quick.
But I had to track it longer distance than i thought from the place it where shot.
But the problem where that after around half way it changed from Lungs/hears to body shot and it where roaming and trotting.
And no more blood tracks whats so ever.
When find it it where hit in the left lung.
So it should at least give me more blood tracks.,
It has happened before that it changed a few days ago when shot a bear.
But did not bother then, but this time i thought i would report it.
Im where in a competition and this waisted to much time
Specially after give no more blood tracks what so ever after it changed to body hit.
First image shows the starter track
This image shows how the track changed to body shot and after that no more blood tracks
This shows the distance i needed to track.
(note. Not from tent track where from tree stand)
And this shows the hit.
Lungs/heart shots changes to body shot.

Seems this "bug" is 7 years old... Weird mule deer kill with crossbow
It was explained once by Daniel G. why it's not a bug. (I can't seem to find it). But essentially, it's working as designed.

This sounds like a bugged design flaw,..LeffePeffe wrote:Ok then it is a "design flaw" imo but then i know thanks for the link

this makes no sense to say it's a heart hit track and then turns into a lung hit track that has a body hit.....
I've had it happen and it is just plain misleading from this type of hit.
Needs to be corrected to do what it says it does, or take away the heart hit track when it doesn't hit it IMO.

Re: Lungs/heart shots changes to body shot.
I observe this issue more and more often last month.
In some cases it's lung shot changed to body shot. But there is also more sad case: full stop of bleeding. I just had one in my recent hunt. I shot a moose with my Mauser, it was stomach+intestines hit. I was tracking him for some time but he stopped bleeding at all in few minutes, not even switching to body blood, and my 40-lvl scent hound declined to track him after that. I followed this moose for ~30 minutes, sometimes approaching him for 25-30 m - he behaved like usual wounded moose, keeping head down and moving slowly.
Finally, I tired of that and stopped him with the second shot...

I had both a bobcat and a lynx recently both with Intestines shots that never died.
