Reserve: Redfeather Falls
Target: Female Whitetail Deer
Target stance: Resting/In bedding
Weapon used: Tenpoint Carbon Fusion Crossbow
I tracked down a Whitetail Deer female who was laying down close to one of the streams in Redfeather Falls. I crawled up close to her and fired an arrow into her chest area. There was no reaction from her at all, so I though maybe she was incapacitated by the first shot. I fired a second arrow which hit roughly in the same spot - still no reaction. I went up to her and she did not spook or react to my presence in any way. I switched to firearms and tried killing the doe but that did not make any difference. I asked my hunting buddies to come and see, but they could not see the deer on the ground at all.
Note that I saw the deer walking up to the spot where I shot it and lay down, so it was not spawned in the map like that.

If you all walked beyond render distance and came back you could probably had harvested it because of the respawn.
It happens more often than you'd think but I never saw it related to sleeping. Were you able to spot the anI'mal the whole time? Do you know if it was shot before?

shot a fox not long ago with recurve bow with tracer arrow.the fox was stood up not running away but not dead.
as i approached it the game crashed and gave a 16005 error.
i went to check stats to post the hunt details. there was none for that hunt generated.
