Unable to harvest dead animal

I was out hunting Dall sheep for the competition. Single player mode at Whiterime Ridge. Happened twice to me, and both times I took a shot from a distance and the animal dies after 2 steps. First time it happened yesterday, and now again for the second time. HunterMate seems to recognize the animal but is not allowing me to confirm the kill. The animal does not count for the competition nor the activated missions.

I can`t harvest european rabbit. Shot and killed him when entering the burrow but i can`t harvest it.Anyone else got the same problem? Thank you!

Not a can't harvest problem. Can't see it to harvest problem. Get prone, stick head in hole, harvest.
