Hitbox of trees way off.

Postby DYEUZ » September 5th, 2017, 3:55 pm

Bug Report , environment

Timbergold Trails reserve.
Single player mode
Time of day : see Hunter mate
Coordinates of tree : X7014 / Y1548 ( approx )

I was behind tree , about 3 meters . Elk was on opposite side about 7 meters . Shot my arrow about 0.3 meters next to tree, which seemed enough to clear it . Saw a blast of something and Elk ran .
I saw my arrow standing there in mid-air . I couldn't believe it did not pass.

Step to reproduce
- Start a single player game in TgT .
- Stand behind this tree or any other one. Maybe other trees have same issue . Could be on certain trees only ( Diameter wise ).
- Shoot bow / arrow close enough but thinking that it should clear it .

Just to confirm it's not just him, I ran into this a couple months ago. You can see the "stuck" arrow just below my own.

Arrows getting stuck in tree when shot by it.

If you are lining up the shot and shoot within about a foot to the side of the tree. the arrow will simply get stuck.

Merged a new post about tree hitboxes with an existing thread.

Any news about this, Martin? I've noticed it too and I avoid shooting anything that's close to a tree in TGT.
