Well, you see what happened there, right? He pulled that big 'ol 7000+ out of his hat, (biggest fluke of all) and figured that'd nothin' less would be good enough. Hubris is a real kick in the groin when the realization sinks in- that he ain't destined to be so lucky after all.

I just don't want to hassle with wiping stuff out just to repost it with something acceptable.

At least now I'm getting some info on the HM and a score range - like 4700-7200 I got the calls figured out but I'm even using the females to get up the track/spot skills. That's just as important.
I saw someone said "they are like the turkey" ~ well, I beg to differ, these birds are dumb - don't spot you in the TS, even 3ft off the ground - never happen with turkey. I would suspect there will be tweeks to the AI maybe? I think the decoys are worthless - yeah, they'll attract here and there, but not consistent like turkey decoys are. I got to just laying on the ground and they walk right up to you.
I also started taking other animals for this one - no 1S1K so I figured I'd stock up on GM for Xbow pistol bolts ~

I picked up two full sets of decoys, not much point in those as you mention, since you either pack them with you or you set-up like you would with the Geese, Ducks etc. Only thing is, these birds ain't always in one spot where a set-up is much use. Least that is what I'm learnin', yep the decoys = wasted EM$.

wooo
this birds can´t be hunted now close range.
i went from 20 kills to 5 kills a game and grinding a lot.
it´s sad cuz i was enjoyng this hunt, now is just to hard and boring.
to be able to see them i got to go from prone to crouch, they go away instantaneously.
they are too smal to have this fleing range its almost imposible.

got an improvement out of luck

1. So, is this just you being lazy, or just your hubris - "Go big. or go home!"
2. I've heard there are several tweaks for these birds in the next update, especially in one particular map...
3 & 4. For this comp, decoys are useless... but if someone decides on a comp where there is some longer distance required, I can see them helping out. These birds are dumb and aggressive; I'm sure you could hear one, throw down a decoy or two, use the caller and walk away and not spook them from coming in.
