And as much as i hate to be the party-pooper I got some bad news before you go out hunting again. We are going with Crossbows this time
That's rough , this big guy could have easily won you the comp

I had an idea and don't know where else i would be posting it so here it comes
Instead of 3 attempts with 3 hours each you could make the rule 3 attempts 9 hours total (in the future) . That way you could have spend more time on your first attempt getting that big boar and have a little less time on the other attempts.
Or in case someone only uses up 2 hours on, let's say, attempt 1 .. that person would have an extra hour to spend later.
Just an idea ofc and not sure if such change would impact other things, but the overall time /attempts would stay the same .

Yep, that would work. We've actually done it like that before too. Max 10 hrs for example- and we posted our time elapsed and time remaining with our submissions. We'll go back to that again soon for a few comps. I myself like a max of 6-7 hrs per attempt- no 2nd day hunts. That way we have lots of time to actually look for something. The thing is with Black Bear, Hog, Boar, Goat, and Brwn Bear these critters can be baited, so is why I made it 3 hrs per attempt. Tried to even it out for those that don't use bait. My initial thought when the new Rotation started is I wasn't going to use any critters that could be baited. But, that was short lived when I thought about it. Anyone can buy baiting material if they want, shouldn't deprive those that spent the cash for barrels to not be used- so it is what it is. Only 5 species out of the 40+ can be baited, so no biggie.

Turned out the 150 kg + females are just as hard to find as a trophy male , maybe even harder

Like I told Faultier I did Re read the ROE twice, but let me tell ya sticking arrows in a small heart and lung target is not as much fun as blasting the stuffing out of them piggies with a 340 Mag

Well, I'm happy - I succeeded! I not only got in all three attempts, but each time I improved!
I won't get any leaderboard points this time, but I'm not ashamed of my score. I was able to find a 300 sow, but just could NOT find a nice big boar.
I did, however, get another mission done plus I also earned my 500 Pheasant achievement.

They are definitely out there somewhere, you just have to bait ... i mean find them
Best is to completly ignore the spotting score and go only for weight . i got lvl 20 on the boars and still every female shows as 300-400 no matter her size
