ACK!!!! When the sound quits in the middle of a game, is there any way to get it back? It's not the headphones or the computer - I've got sound from those, but I stepped near a stream and "CLICK!" No more in game sound!!!

whenever I loose sound I always check the speaker set up in windows it plays through my speakers (High Definition Audio Device) sometimes and through the computer 32S321 (NVIDIA High Definition Audio) some times .
all I do is switch the speaker it is connected to. That don't work for all operating systems I know but just check Sound if you use Windows 10 use the built in Troubleshooter it might find the error.

I feel SO badly!!! I absolutely should have been able to win this one for our team! I had one attempt left in Picabeen, and the low score I had for one of my sambar was ABSOLUTELY beatable at just 93.4936! If no one else posted an increased score, I knew all I needed was to get a 160 score for first place or a 117 to get second. I had CONFIDENCE!!

I start my hunt just a couple of minutes late, so it would be almost but not quite 5 hours before the end of the comp. I started to get a little worried when was finding nothing but females for the first 2 hours! Then finally, a decent male track - max weight 520! I followed that for a while until I felt I lost it. Right then I heard a different male call - ok, then, let's mark that spot and go get him! That one I saw, but he was small... and then the shot I took was just a body shot. I tried tracking him down for a while until I lost his track. Telling myself that he was small enough that it might not have helped the team anyways, I went elsewhere.

I walk for a bit, and find another track for a max 480. Well, better than nothing, so I start following that one, heading towards the river edge. He called- ooh! Closer than I expected! I found a good spot to shoot from, put some spray out, and started crawling back to my spot- but he and his bigger friend came in too fast! All of a sudden I look up and they were there! They were too close to shoot, and, of course, that was also close enough to spot me, so off they ran! I go and track them some more -because now there are TWO hopefuls! They kept running near the river edge, so I'm watching - and then I see one further down the river, on the other side.. and he looks HUGE! So now I'm thinking "Nevermind these two - I gotta get the big guy!" I creep over closer to the bank with the intention of putting out some spray... and I hear one of the others coming in! Oh no! I look, and it turns out it wasn't one of those two, but another smaller one; max score 145, but I'm sure not even 120... maybe? Maybe he's bigger than I think, after seeing the monster across the river?

Well, now it's decision time - I know if I shoot the small one with the gun, the big one will spook. If I don't, the small one will spook anyways and likely spook the big one. If I shoot the small one with an arrow and he drops, if he's big enough he won't count for the comp. I'm thinking I have well over an hour left in the comp- I'll shoot the small one then try to find the big one after. So, BOOM! and... Another. Stupid. Body. Shot.

So now I'm tracking blood for a bit, but he stops bleeding, keeps fleeing and then I loose HIS trail. Now I'm mad. I mark where the last track was so I can come back to it, and head towards the big guy's area. I find his track - sure enough - max weight 550!! I follow the tracks to where he ran over by a stream, and when I take a step into the stream to follow, CLICK! I lost my in game sound!

Now I'm starting to really get worried. I have no sound, I watched him fleeing in circles after I took the shot.. I have no clue where he went and can't hear him if he's coming in anyways. There's just 45 minutes left to the comp, so I resign myself to go try and find the other smaller guy, and hopefully he'll help us pull in second place. I get back to where I had marked the trail, however, once again, I end up losing his tracks, so now I'm really sad.

Then, I look - off in the distance on a hill, there's ANOTHER big guy! It's a totally different direction, so I know it's no the same one. Even with no sound, I gotta try! I know I won't hear him come in, so I put some scent in a larger open area and crawl on my belly off to the side and away from it, hoping I'll see him come in. I look to where he was and would be heading towards, but I can't see him anymore. At this point, now I'm near where I had seen him, and I find a track. Another max weight 550!! Argh! I move off the track, and my Huntermate goes off again? I click it - an audio clue, and it's him! He's not that far off! I Throw out some more spray, crawl off to wait and watch closely and see if he comes in...

... and 12 minutes later, the competition came to an end. I never did see him again.
