Well, that was the strangest thing, and now I know not to do it again! First fox I came across was stuck running into a rock. Easy pickings, and I'm not proud. Shot it, I know I hit it... but the shot didn't register?? Attempt #2 wasted. No more shooting stuck foxes when it's a "no misses" comp.

I feel your pain, LeX13... that was very much like my shot that I missed, except mine had much more of the fox showing. I can't believe it missed!

However, I'm much happier with my last hunt. The only thing that could have made it better was just 10 more minutes so I could finish tracking down that last big fox. I was SOOOO close! But, time ran out, and I just have to settle for what I did get.

BCKidd, you are SO lucky I ran out of time! I'm sure that last fox I was tracking would have been bigger than my smallest one here. I guess I should have made sandwiches for supper instead of a pasta dish- that longer break for making food may have cost me a minor victory.


I was pretty happy with that new PB/leaderboard fox, though... that is, until hubby got a fox of his own while I was typing this up.
He just bagged one that scored 17.4077!! One more nice critter for his lodge!

BC, I was ready to throw the towel in and go to bed but then, I picked up a track I've never had. I spook ponged that sob for 70-80 minutes. Along the ay, picked up another big track. Bagged him but still have the really nice track. Finally, I spot him. He never called once, never came to a call the whole time. It's now or never. I had to shoot him standing at 130m - NOT what I want to do, but I was going to lose him in trees again. So yeah, if not for that track, I'd be breaking out my shine box

Much better than the last run.
It started like the last attempt ended ...with a sh.tload of females. After 2-3 hours in, i was about to give up the first time
Finaly found my first 6kg + so i kept on going. Good thing i did so i don't get bitten by the dogs Great scores everyone
