Whew! Those darn bears! That as a clever one, to have to get different fur colors, as well as no missed shots. I finally learned to NOT be so afraid of the bears when I discovered how much more likely they were to die right away if you shot them in the chest as they stood on their hind legs to scare me. (Ok, I'm still a little nervous, but I was more afraid of missing a shot than getting mauled! )

Congratulations to the winners, and to TheWind for that big bear! Wow! Getting a leaderboard animal is always nice, but a little extra nice when it's part of a comp!

There was also lot of good discussion about points and participation. I'm fairly sure some of the participation issue is people having problems with the forum. I was chatting with one person on Discord on Friday to help get them logged into the forum, and later once that was successful (thanks to Avery), two more people ended up asking for help.

I REALLY like playing in these comps, points or not. I love the conversations, encouragement and even the sh*t-talk between the competitors (where I'm from, harsh teasing is a sign of a good friendship). I love challenging myself and being challenged, I like when I actually don't come in last, and I really like when I even manage to best certain people! I did like the "0.5 points" for posting a score, because sometimes it really is an effort and it's nice to have a little reward for all the trouble. It's one of the reasons I like posting the recap- so there is at least some recognition. What I'm wondering now is if I should also add a "NS" for "No Score" when people do post an attempt but do not end up with a viable submission. Thoughts?

I'd say it's sure worth a little mention at the end if smeone takes the time to post an attempt even if it hasn't worked out that time.



Regarding the earlier exchange of ideas... removing something from the comps is prolly not the way to go to get more people interested.
Adding something , (points,languages,...) sounds more welcoming and promoting.

Piece of advice... I've seen a computer monitor thrown out the window.... It's not pretty..... don't do it....
