Re: Next Gen Mini Comp #20 by BCKidd.
I guess I´ll need all the time left to find me a big ol' cat to bail me out.
So this wolf will have to do for this comp.

Re: Next Gen Mini Comp #20 by BCKidd.
When I went to sleep last night, my mind drifted and I began to think that I might have messed up my Wolf submission- which meant I lost 2+ hrs. So, this 'morn when I woke up to carry on with my day I had too check... and guess what?! Yep, that wolf submission won't even count. Here is why:BCKidd wrote:Complete hunt: https://www.thehunter.com/#profile/bcki ... /110159757

Well, 2+ hrs spent and I only came up with that wolf , better ones are most definitely out there. I'm movin' on to Goats next, looks like the magic number there is 134+ Lbs. Gonna need a lot of time to finish off my score with a monster of a Puma...
Faultier, I see nothing wrong with your submission. As long as Hunt Expedition links and B&C Scoresheet links are present, also keep track of your time on a comp reserve. It isn't 10 hours per reserve, but a total of ten hours that can be used up between the two reserves. I only mention that, because not long ago someone had questioned. You can also copy and paste the Blueprint and simply quote your submissions. Yeah, it sometimes looks ugly doing it this way, but, this is how we do it for now. I've heard tale that a comp generator has been worked on, and with that will of course come automation, and this nasty way of posting scores will go away. Hey, there is always hope... Respectfully,
BCKidd.
HUNT EXPEDITIONS MUST START from A LODGE: Yes
This mess up, knocked my "Attempt Time" down. But, since these submissions are supposed to be locked in and I can't improve- I'm left with about 6hrs to find a Puma, and a Goat and that is all I'll be able to submit. My wolf attempt is done with no score due to the submission being DQ'd. What a great start... . Respectfully,
BCKidd.

Nice to meet you, Faultier!Faultier wrote:@BCKidd the way of submission is perfectly fine , was just the first time doing it like this and now glad to hear it worked as requiered.
As I understand it, some things are "easier" to automate than others... but then there are comp hosts that add tweaks and twists and other requirements that make even our human brains go "ouch"! Between that and (especially) real life time requirements, it's been difficult. I do, however, try my best to at least keep a spreadsheet going with submitted scores and links, to be a helpful "second set of eyes" for anyone if ever needed. I've been known to send a PM if I find that someone's math or such isn't matching up to what they posted. Spreadsheets and forum posts I can do from my work; concentrating on web coding, not so much...BCKidd wrote: Faultier, I see nothing wrong with your submission. I'm chuckling a little as I remember specifically asking if it was ok to fast travel to a tent after starting at a lodge... but then I go into "Mother-mode" and start to worry about you and your drifting mind lately. You know, this means as long as I can post a score, it'll be two comps in a row that I'd come in ahead of you. Are you really ok with that happening? Maybe you shouldn't indulge in so much of Rad's scotch - I wonder if he's trying to sabotage you so he can have a better chance at winning...BCKidd wrote:When I went to sleep last night, my mind drifted ...Yep, that wolf submission won't even count. ... Re: Next Gen Mini Comp #20 by BCKidd.
Drifting mind is an understatement. Have totally been preoccupied tying up loose ends in something I have been working on, and something Rad and other readers of my work have been cryin' for me to finish up. That, and taking care of other things related to publishing, yep, I certainly have a fogged brain lately. But, like always it'll pass... so beware. Oh, boy, that sounded an awful lot like being busy with... WORK?!? Ugh - work ALWAYS gets in the way of this fun!BCKidd wrote:lol: Drifting mind is an understatement. Also, I *KNEW* your lack of concentration for this was Rad's fault, somehow!
