The Snowed under comp has the following mandatory conditions in its text:

Species: Polar Bear
Reserves: Whiterime Ridge

Description
Harvest a male and a female Polar Bear with a slug. Highest average shot distance is your competition entry.

Weapons
Shotgun/Drilling gun only

Scoring
Highest average shot distance.

Special Requirements
None.

If you will look to the recent ended competition board you will notice, but only if you look close enough, that almost NO ONE there used the mandatory weapon, included the podium (No 1 ,2 and 3). They used Maisto shotgun and the heavy .340 one. No one knows what is wrong with that ? What if I was using the mandatory drill shotgun/rifle ? Anyone ? Or if it is bugged why was it not corrected by now I wonder ?

Look to OVERVIEW/WEAPONS ! It says drill gun/rifle ONLY! And all people there killed bears with anything, BUT the drill gun.

An animal shot by another person should not count for the person harvesting.

This is the text from every competition in multiplayer.

Even though this competition is only active in Multiplayer, trophies are still awarded on an individual basis. This means that if you hunt as a team it's still only the last shooter before death that will receive the harvested animal, which will then only count for this person in the competition

No. It means that just that gun. You know how I know that ? There is only ONE drill shotgun/rifle in the game, so...NO. If it were be drill gun OR any shotgun it would have been specified, separately and it woud've been very clear these three words: "or any shotgun", but it's not that situation , is it ?
Even so, the podium is tainted, the second place guy used a .340 rifle to kill the two bears and his result is in top.

I give you an example to understand clearly what I am talking about. In the Apocalypse Saw competition one must kill a feral female pig with...Any Shotgun with Slug ammo. Guess what !? I did it with the drill one and even won the competition. Sooo...it's not specified that I can use the drillgun, isn't it ? But it is known that the drill gun has a ..shotgun integrated kinnda of, too, right ? The same goes here, if it says drill gun, people know that the drill gun has a ...shotgun which is different than saying...any shotgun can be used.

All of them used other guns than the mandatory one, so...ALL the results must be invalidated for No 1 , 2 and 3. The other won't count. obvioulsy, because they gained nothing.
Don't get me wrong. If the competition text is wrong then it must be changed, but as long as it stays, then the drill shotgun/rifle is MANDATORY. That's the way I read it.

everyone will read things differently, the comp was a shotgun comp to being with, all they did was add the drillgun as it is a shotgun.
