The host hasn't confirmed yet, but I assume the leaderboard is final, and therefore rendered the final trophy. Congratulations to the winner.

I also did a few other renders, for fun.

Awesome pictures, David. Where do you get the animal models that you use for your trophies?

I use a few different websites; Turbo Squid, Envato, CG Trader, etc. There are even some websites that offer free resources, but rarely what you're looking for. One or two of the low-poly animals I've used in the last year or so I made myself, but it takes ages (unless you're a professional 3D artist).

I'm fairly proficient now with Blender and I'm comfortable with hard surface objects (vehicles, guns, knives, ammo and so on) but animals and characters are extremely difficult. I enjoy it though, which is the only reason I mess around with 3D.

I'd love to be able to make these in physical items. LOL They really are great.

Does Blender have it's own render engine or did you use a third party product? (Sorry, not very familiar with Blender, I use C4D instead).

Blender comes with the Cycles render engine. There are also third party render engines (commercial and free) which can be used. The payoff with Cycles is render time, compared with the likes of Octane or Mitsuba, but Cycles does a great job in terms of quality.
