Yeah that's what i have read, hv is related to the quality or integrity of the trophy(minimal damage), not the wound time, at least not as main the factor.

So true. For example: the .17 HMR really splatters the ptarmigan at close range- leaving you with a very lousy HV + CSS score. Peace.Tod1d wrote:Just curious, how does it work IRL?VonStratos wrote:...that's not how it work irl i think, but that's how is in game.
Also, in game you also need to choose a weapon that doesn't do too much damage. It has to be 0 wound time, AND 100% trophy integrity to get 100% HV

VonStratos wrote:To get HV 100% or as near to it you need instant drop the animal, with something like a heart shot or double lung shot, the more wound time the animal have the more you reach the 0% HV, that's not how it work irl i think, but that's how is in game.
Those 2 statement contradict each other.VonStratos wrote:Yeah that's what i have read, hv is related to the quality or integrity of the trophy(minimal damage), not the wound time, at least not as main the factor.
Trophy Integrity (TI) is how much damage you do. Generally, too powerful ammo or a closer shot will reduce the TI
Wound Time (WT) is just that. If it doesn't die immediately, you get deducted 1.667% for each second it lives. (100% for 1 minute)
HV = TI - (WT * 1.667)
So, they are both "main" factors
It's "Tod", with one bloody 'd'!

you should see what the .405 does if you think the 17 is badBCKidd wrote:So true. For example: the .17 HMR really splatters the ptarmigan at close range- leaving you with a very lousy HV + CSS score. You might walk away with a tail feather usin' that brute. I reckon the .17 wouldn't be so bad a 100m, but at 12m and less- the Ptarmigan simply go POOF! And what a sight it is, when all their feathers finally fall to the ground... Peace.

Yeah, practice up. I know I am. Tryin' to find a suitable weapon to give me 100% HV and as close to 100% CSS is quite the task. I can get 100% HV easily enough, but the CSS...well that is a different story. Not by any means is that easily done, and yeah, the ptarmigan they're likely gonna be the toughest to get good CSS value. Peace.BearJohnson wrote:I'm signed up!
