That's actually the exact thread I was referring to in my post. The light spots above the eyes have not been specific to normal black bears for me. Both normals I've entered didn't have the eye spots. All the others have been fairly easy for me to tell apart.

Seeing how people are having a hard time identifying the different types of black bears and how INTIMID883R just loves a smartass, I decided to trek through the cyber forest of google and found some bears willing to take a pic for you to use as a guide to help you identify what you all are looking at.

In all honestly and I hope TK see this and can relay the message, the EW artist missed the boat on this one.
Common Black Bear – notice how the fur is all black

Chocolate Black Bear– notice how the fur is all brown

Cinnamon Black Bear– notice how the fur has a reddish tint to it

Glacier Black Bear– notice how the fur is gray

Blond Black Bear– notice how the fur is like a condensed milk looking color

This is excellent, perfectly and beautifully illustrated. I hope someone's eyes in EW become opened.

Although I really appreciate the effort, this doesn't show me anything which I don't already see in the game, which is that bears even with the same fur variation can and often do look vastly different in color from each other and thus ending up looking like a completely different fur variation.

You killed 2 Blondes with the same rifle. You can't have 2 Kings of Clubs in your hand. Oooops!

Ah, i misunderstood the rule, i was thinking i couldn't have the same card between the 5 selected ones as my hand, my mistake.

Ok, this is getting frustrating for me!
In these 4 expeditions I spot more than 50 Black Bears and harvest 28 Black Bears and only 2 of them was Glacier!

I don't know this is my bad luck for spawn rate of them or this is suppose to be like that!
But, at least I still have about 10 days to submit my Royal Flush!
It's time to take a short brake and hunt something else!

I think glaciers were supposed to be rare, although lately I've seen a lot more of them than I would expect.
