Re: 2nd Annual Spring Trophy Hunt
The current state of the leaderboard seems to be a bit "weird". Beside that, everything seems to become a very good "fight". Good luck everyone!

Re: 2nd Annual Spring Trophy Hunt
I just checked the leaderboard & it looks right to me.JackRbbt wrote:The current state of the leaderboard seems to be a bit "weird". Beside that, everything seems to become a very good "fight". Good luck everyone!

Normalized score = (score - min_score) / (max_score - min_score) * (100 + bonus)
A little different from the "Normalized based on current comp high score" that we're used to seeing lately. But, a more accurate & equitable way of normalizing.
When based on comp high score ( score / high_score * (100 + bonus)), for example, the lowest possible score for a black bear is 50. (12 / 24 * 100)
Where the lowest possible score for a roos elk is 5.7%. Using the min/max scores, all species will range from 0-100%
It's "Tod", with one bloody 'd'!

Re: 2nd Annual Spring Trophy Hunt
I have 2 small questions :
- how long does the leaderboard take to update? (I submitted a hunt 1h ago, the hunt was accepted, with blacktail and Roos Elk and I do not appear on the leaderboard)
- why the 1° and 3° are the same player ?

I wasn't talking about the math, i know is proofed many times. But same player appeared twice, with 2 animals on 2 lines, while it was supposed to have them on same line.Tod1d wrote:I just checked the leaderboard & it looks right to me.JackRbbt wrote:The current state of the leaderboard seems to be a bit "weird". Re: 2nd Annual Spring Trophy Hunt
Q: Why is the time limit for hunts that don't count only 30 seconds? It takes you 30 seconds just to get in the game... the hunt time starts recording the second you press the start game button. I just had a game where i got in, got to walk 20 meters untill it started raining, which i can't stand, so i just ended the hunt. Huntermate said 12:01 (I started 12). Which means about 30 seconds in the game, but the last hunt page says it lasted for 3 mins
So now i have to wait 30 mins to enter VDB again right?

Not sure. I don't see an entry. The update should be almost instant. Which hunt? can you copy the URL?LEFLOR wrote:I have 2 small questions :

I made a mistake. Fixed.- why the 1° and 3° are the same player ?

Re: 2nd Annual Spring Trophy Hunt
I warmly welcome. Is there any list of results what normalized is our score? Is this all about the records in the game for the day?
