When
Starts: Monday 29th February 2016, 08:00 Europe/London (GMT/UTC)
Finishes: Monday 14th March 2016, 20:00 Europe/London (GMT/UTC)

Objectives
This competition is broken down into six categories. Participants can take part in as few or as many categories as they wish. Each category has a different objective and separate prizes, i.e. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. This means there could be up to 18 prize winners at the end of the competition, unless one or more participants are skillful enough to bag multiple prizes by succeeding in numerous objectives. In addition to the six categories, participants will receive combined leaderboard points depending on their position on each separate category leaderboard. Combined leaderboard points are equal to 10 points for first place, decreasing one point at a time to 1 point for tenth place.

At the end of the competition, the participants with the highest number of combined leaderboard points will win bonus prizes.

Category 1 - Stupid Cupid
Harvest an airborne American Black Duck, Canada Goose, Gadwall, Mallard Duck, Northern Pintail and Pheasant using arrows (crossbow and reverse draw crossbow are not permitted). You can submit only one entry for each bird and it can be from any hunt during the competition, but you must submit an entry for each bird in order to appear on the leaderboard. Your score is the average CSS of the six birds. CSS will be calculated automatically when you enter the score of each bird. The participant with the highest average CSS wins this category.

Bonus: +15% if all birds were hit from a distance of at least 20 meters.

Category 2 - A Moose Loose
Harvest twenty moose during one hunt using no more than twenty shots of permitted ammunition. You must hunt only moose and your hunt summary must show that you fired exactly 20 shots (or less if you are awesome) during the hunt. Your score is the combined weight of the twenty moose. You can submit your entry only once, from any hunt during the competition, in which you shoot exactly twenty moose (no other animals). The participant with the highest score wins this category.

Bonus: +15% if all moose die from an instant kill (zero wound time).

Category 3 - Thank Theodore
Harvest three Roosevelt Elk hitting heart and both lungs each time, using a single shot of permitted ammunition. Hitting other body parts is acceptable, but both lungs and the heart much be shown on the scoresheet. You can submit each entry separately, one at a time, from any hunt during the competition, or multiple entries from the same hunt. Your score is the sum of the combined distances (in meters) added to the corresponding scores for each entry. The participant with the highest score wins this category.

Bonus: +15% if all elk were hit from a distance of at least 175 meters.

Category 4 - Buffalo Bill
Please note that this objective must be completed in single player. Harvest a moving (any non-stationary state) Bison with an instant kill (zero wound time) from a distance of between 30m and 31m, using any permitted ammunition. You can submit your entry only once, from any hunt during the competition. Your score is the final score of the animal. The participant with the highest score wins this category.

Bonus: +15% if the bison was killed with an arrow.

Category 5 - Beautiful Bouquetin
Harvest a fleeing (animal state = running) Alpine Ibex with an instant kill (zero wound time), using .243 ammunition. No platforms (treestands, tripods, deployable towers or regular towers) permitted. You can submit your entry only once, from any hunt during the competition. Your score is the final score of the animal. The participant with the highest score wins the category.

Bonus: +15% if you are standing upright when taking the shot, and using iron sights.

Category 6 - Monarch of the Glen
Harvest a stationary Red Deer with an instant kill (zero wound time) from a distance of at least 75m, hitting the heart, using an arrow (crossbow and reverse draw crossbow are permitted). Hitting other body parts is acceptable, but heart must be shown on the scoresheet. You can submit your entry only once, from any hunt during the competition. Your score is the final score of the animal. The participant with the highest score wins this category.

Bonus: +15% if you are standing upright when taking the shot.

Competition Rules
Participants can hunt in single or multiplayer (except for the Buffalo Bill objective which must be completed in single player) as long as any scores submitted are awarded to the participant. Each hunt from which a score is submitted must be at least 30 minutes in duration (real time). Participants can attempt each objective as many times as they wish, however once results have been submitted for that category, that part of the form can no longer be updated. During the competition, participants will have one mulligan which they can use to wipe one objective. This is effectively a "second chance" option. It can be used only once and will wipe all scores for the category on which it is used. If participants wish to take part in numerous categories, the objectives can be completed in any order.

Scores must be entered within 4 hours of ending the hunt in question. Retaining high scores until the end of the competition will result in immediate disqualification, without exception. Once a participant submits all scores for an objective, it becomes locked and it is then not possible to alter or improve scores unless a mulligan is used, which will completely wipe the scores from that objective. When a participant uses a mulligan on an objective, only new scores can be submitted. Submitting the same scores for an objective after using a mulligan will result in immediate disqualification.

Where shot placement is specified in an objective, e.g. "a heart shot", this means only one shot which must hit the body part or organ specified. It is not permitted to shoot the animal a couple of times first with body shots, then hit the specified body part. It must be the first and only shot and it must hit the body part or organ specified.

Weapons
Unless otherwise specified in an objective, participants can use any permitted weapons and ammunition for the species they are hunting.

Equipment
Unless otherwise specified in an objective, participants can use stands, camping equipment, decoys, tents and any other equipment they own during this competition.

Scoring
The score for each objective varies, depending on the objective. For some objectives, the score awarded may be the score of the animal. It can also be the combined weight of multiple animals, or average CSS (examples). It can also be a calculation involving distance combined with animal score. For information on how each objective is scored, please refer to the relevant objective.

Glad to see you're finally back in the competition business, David! :)

Some crazy ideas you have there. I reckon those goals are only to scare off unwanted people, the real objectives for the mortals will be revealed later, right?
