Why was this such a painful attempt? I used to only hunt ducks on RB but when they released the bobcats, RB quickly became my favorite map for hunting them. It seemed like they were everywhere. It was nothing to walk around, get a call, put up a tree stand, slap down the brand new e-caller and have the cat come in within a couple minutes every time. I had 7 individual cats call on this hunt. Now one I lost because I was busy trying to spot it and even laying on the road I couldn't look up or down while prone, so I spooked it when I crouched to spot and shoot. And of course 2 others I killed. But the other 4 that called? Who the heck knows. I'd find a clear area to setup about 150m away from the call, slap down the e-caller and go lay down on a hill to wait... and wait... and wait... only for them never to come. I don't know if it's just my luck or what, but my enjoyment of hunting these cats in the swamp is rapidly going down the drain. I'll give it another shot and see if things go any better. If nothing else, at least I have Splainin beat for now :D

Agreed! I was STILL finding a ton of tracks, and hearing lots of calls, but those kitties just would NOT appear! However, there was one male I was following.. and following.. and following! Finally, he started walking around in a circle. I spent some time trying to figure out where he was going and where he went, when suddenly he jumped up right in front of me, not even 2 meters away, I'm sure, and ran straight at me! Hubby saw it too, as I yelled, and he laughed. Of course, I got spun around after he ran past and had NO idea where he went, with the mixture of all the trotting, roaming and fleeing tracks in that one small area. :P

As far as having me beat for now? I hope you don't think that's too much of an accomplishment! Of course, I'm obviously ahead of Rad at the moment, so it's all good. ;)

Had a similar occurrence, Cat was 80m away, put ecaller down wait, wait, wait, for approximately 25 RT minutes. Finally I figured it must be asleep so I headed over and just roaming tracks 50 minutes old and a <13 minute fleeing track. A very frustrating animal to hunt!

Yep, zero submission from me too on 1st attempt. An hour longer than you and I found nothing worth posting- did ofc get the hog for the lunar mission. Hopefully I'll post something here before it ends. Back to the mission for now. ;) Respectfully,

BCKidd.

I had not seen the restrictions, (distance, no platforms, 100% HV , attempt time ........)
so , it's too much for me for the Bobcat, and the same for the next one good luck to all. ;)

my female is not available ( 26.17m )

Question- Multiplayer doesn't count toward attempts or attempt time. How can you tell it was a multiplayer hunt? Where do you find that info?
