Laggy game

Hi everyone,

I just want to know from you all do you experience about half a second lag spikes every 10 seconds during the game?
Very noticeable when running/walking.
Like it's not solid smooth gameplay.
Anyone else having the same problem?

If some of you were getting this issue and resolved it how did you do so, what's your compatibility mode set on thehunter?

i have had that kind of hunts time on time, but not often, still in almost every hunt i have at least one half a second lag, but usually is one in the whole hunt, one every ten second or any laggy hunt is something that happens i would say once in 30 hunts or so, and when it happens it last for a while, even if i start another hunt, then it solve itself so i think are temporary issues with server related, not in the user end. i never do any change in the settings to solve it.

I had similar lag in the past , with my old and weak graphic card . I had lag spikes , like you mention, when running and / or when moving in deep forest , or when it rained .
I understood that my card wasn't handling the game no more and changed it for a better one . since then , no more lag issues and my settings are all at high, which wasn't the case before .

I just wanted to add my specs:

Operating System: Windows 10
Hard Disk Drive: Seagate Barracuda 2TB Internal 5900RPM 3.5" (ST2000DL003) HDD
Tower Case: Lain Li(lancool) PC-K59 First knight usb3.0
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P67a-UD3B3
Graph card: ASUS - GEFORCE GTX 1060 3GB
CPU: Intel core i7-2600 3.4Ghz 1155pin
Power Supply: OCZ-ZX850W
Ram: DDR3 16GB

My PC is more than capable of running this game yet I get this problem.
I've tried different compatibility modes like Windows 7,8 XP, etc and had all my settings to the lowest possible yet this issue still happens.
Mini lag spike that lasts about 0.5 secs every 10 - 20m of running in-game or even in an idle state just standing still.

Any ideas???
And no there is no hardware issue on my end as I recently just had a PC technician out to check.

I think too much heat in the CPU & GPU could be the problem, what you have is fine for tH but if the cooling is crap then this can happen. Clean your fans and filters and I think that will help big time. Get "Speccy" or another small add-on to check your running temps for reference.

I had a similar effect with my 1060 6GB but with and AMD 8300 Vishera but with a WC system it was solved !!!

I've checked the temp it's fine. 70°C - 80°C while gaming.

No worries, thanks anyway.

I was thinking it could be due to my Graphic Card having a low video memory of 3GB but then what I find strange is this issue only occurs in this game, I play far more demanding games than TheHunter that's for sure.

Anyone else have a Graphic Card with 3GB video memory that plays this game?
