Hi, I'm asking for your help when you did the new down load yesterday 11th April, HR Marvin can not get on at all to play. It just sit there trying to launch.

If you're talking about a game update, I don't think there was one yesterday. From what I can tell, the last update was March 27th.

My husband says it was when the .45 copper bullets were added for the .50 inline muzzle loading pistol.
He has also uninstalled the game from his PC and reinstalled not only on his PC but Steam as well,
This how ever has not solved the problem.
He has also looked into his firewall to see if it is stopping the game from launching.
Apart from doing a fresh install of his OS he don't know what to do.

Reinstalling the OS shouldn't be necessary. I'm not a tech expert in no way but has he tried to launch the game through the browser and not via Steam? Just login via www.thehunter.com, don't touch Steam, and see what happens.
I haven't heard anyone else having problems after the .45 copper bullet being added. In fact, I don't even know if there was a download along with it at all...

HR Marvin has got into the browser the way you said, he can see all his things, but when he clicks on hunt now nothing happens.

After trying to start the Launcher, either from Steam or the Web, is there a theHunter Launcher icon in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen?

There was no new D/L yesterday........ just a new Status update.
If you start a hunt and the launcher opens up without no update and is ready to play, than play it.
Something's are put into the game ahead of time with recent patches, or controlled by the server.
I just checked the store and the new sabots are available already to use....
If your launcher page doesn't open up than that's a different matter.
You might want to d/l the new launcher from the site and install it.....
If you can't get it to run on STEAM verify your game files and let it install them.

Hi Gas56 thank you for your help HR Marvin is going to do a full reinstall of his PC when he is well enough to do it,
I will let you know how he gets on.
