If the game cannot start or if the game crashes, a red window with an exitcode is shown in the launcher.

Here is a list of the exit codes, and what they mean.

16001 - Invalid game session. Restart the game from theHunter web site. (Check if your account has a username, if it does not contact [email protected] http://support.thehunter.com/hc/en-us/a ... o-Username)
16002 - Failed to connect to theHunter game server. The game server is having problems. Please try again a bit later.
16003 - Invalid operating system. theHunter only runs on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8
16004 - The game has not been started through the launcher. Restart the game from theHunter web site.
16005 - The game has crashed.
16006 - Error code not used
16007 - Only one instance of the game can run on one computer.
16008 - Invalid settings file version. Please update the game settings in the launcher settings menu.

Hmmm... what is exit code 0? Doesn't pop up as crashed or anything... found that in the log file and figure its my problem.

I have 16002 at this time Ive tried about 2 hours and nothing.

i had 16002 for about 8 hrs... i finally decided that the code was lying, and i reinstalled the game, and it worked fine.


so obviously it wasn't a 'server' problem. it was a launcher/game issue

I just downloaded new patch, and tried to play--->Exit code 16002. I reinstalled game, still same problem. Anyone else having this?

and what about "Failed to start game client. Please see the support section for more information." I don' t see any exit code, just Error, and the game does not starting. Net Framework 4.0, all updates, directx, newest video card drivers and system requirements, so whats wrong?

Is anyone know anything about my problem? If someone have some problems with understand my "english", just say.

Edit; I appear to have fixed it.. at least the game opens right now!
I uninstalled it totally. Then reinstalled the launcher.. In a different place! This time in C:/TheHunter.
Then continued as usual.. worked!
