Dear apageeltd,
This is bug which appeared some hours ago, we all are waiting for someone to fix it, it does not have anything to do with your settings.

Re: Explanation of Graphical Settings for theHunter
I am playing TheHunter for about 2 years with my graphics on CUSTOM settings(old graphic menu) and everything was working perfect , since you change the graphic settings menu my grapics is a mess. I tried so many times different combinations through the ATI control panel settings to achieve better graphics (even with application settings) but sometimes they were perfect but foggy or sometimes were pretty shimmering. Its not my PC's fault because it was ok two months ago. Also sometimes tree's edges seems transparent and dark,i cant take it anymore. Please help me to fix it. Its a pity that i have bought a 6month membership and i can't use it because of this problem ! Here are my pc review : Intel core i5 M430 @ 2.27Ghz 2.27 Ghz - 1366x768-AMD HD 5650(updated) - 4GB RAM. I repeat everything was working fine until you changed the graphic menu. Dont tell me to go to ATI Control panel i already did it. I just want you to tell me the exact settings for both hunter and ATI (i want high resolution) or tell me whats the problem is.Im looking forward for your reply! Thanks

Re: Explanation of Graphical Settings for theHunter
Hi! First, using the ATI control panel is not supported to tweak the game graphics. If you are using ATI tools (or Nvidia tools) to make adjustments to the image, be aware that they can cause graphical issues in the game. Please set them to defaults, and use the in-game settings.
Could you link me to a screenshot of yours that illustrates the problem you're having?

Re: Explanation of Graphical Settings for theHunter
That is how the game is supposed to look, I'm not sure what you mean? Foliage getting "transparent" at a distance is part of the level-of-detail the engine uses to keep low frame rates.
Square trees and grass on ATI cards (and other cards) is caused by forcing AA and AF in the drivers. There is a support article here: http://support.thehunter.com/hc/en-us/a ... as-blocky-
I'm not seeing what you mean by transparent edges of stuff. The foliage looks like how it's supposed to look. I don't mean to be a bother, but can you circle the specific examples of what you mean by transparent edges?
This is what the same scene looks like on my system: http://www.aemaps.com/thehunter_foliagetranspancy.jpg

Re: Explanation of Graphical Settings for theHunter
That's the LOD of the engine (the 'flat' trees are called "billboards" - they are low detail representations of the trees), it's not a graphics issue. It's always been like that. The best you're going to be able to do is to turn the scene complexity to very high. The "transparent branches" in the third screenshot in pic5 is where the billboard is starting to fade in because of distance. The "scales" on the weapons are from antialiasing, which this engine does not support very well. To fix blurry graphics on the ground, try increasing your AF in the game.
You can tweak the graphics using the ATI or Nvidia control panels, but that is beyond the scope of this post and can end up causing issues - you do that at your own risk.
All those pics are normal, I'm afraid. At the risk of upsetting you, you were mistaken in the past - the LOD settings haven't changed. This is an older engine that just doesn't age gracefully in some cases. I run an Nvidia card with in-game settings maxxed and my game looks the same as yours.
