Re: Pointer unable to detect Mule on Loggers?

This seems to be true in Timbergold also. Boomer nearly walked right up to a mule doe and never detected her. Boomer is level 34.

Re: Pointer dog keybinds

You have to be standing up to use the "U" key for Fox/Geese/Coyote. Took me a long time to figure that out.

It might be
1. Small Game - Default key: "F10" - Rabbits/Birds
2. "mid" Game - Default key: "U" - Fox/Geese/Coyote
3. Big Game - Default key: "F11" - Deer/Bobcat

But havent unlocked second tier yet

Just confirmed it. Above is correct.

Re: Pointer dog keybinds

I have always used F10 for rabbits/birds. Haven't tried the "U" key for Fox/Geese/Coyote, I always use the command wheel, but will have to try it out.

Re: Meet the German Pointer

The only thing I can think of is that there is no rabbits in his detection radius. When the "dog detection activated" disappears, I think that he has stopped tracking, maybe because the rabbit has spooked.

Re: Meet the German Pointer

That exclamation mark (!) just means that your dog understood your command.

I agree, very annoying to have to stand to give level 2 command.

Re: Meet the German Pointer

If the deer is wounded he would run out of the dog's range. In my estimation you would have to track until you got back into the dog's range before he would track again. That is where it would be nice to be able to use 2 dogs at once, then you could take your scent hound along also and use him.

Re: German pointer dog

no stamina problems here. Most waiting time is taken up with cool down between tracks.

Re: Meet the German Pointer

After dog level 4, the level 2 (fox, geese, coyote) command shows open on the wheel, but do not work for me. When I try to use it my hand lowers, but nothing happens. I even tried to use it while looking at some geese that had landed and nothing happened.
