Goat Salt Block gone within 24 hrs.
How long is a Salt Block supposed to last in BR?
I put a full Salt Block in the feeder yesterday since I started doing the Goat missions and it is now gone within a 24 hour period.
Does that sound right?
I haven't hunted here for awhile but I thought the salt blocks lasted longer than that before.
I went there today and there was no goats around,.. not even a track, because the salt block was completely gone.

For a 50 unit block , should last 5 days. 10 units per day .

Same as the other bait types: 10 units should be used up per 24 hours. So if you put a full salt block into the feeder, it should last 5 days.

That's what I thought,... but maybe the block got chipped and fell apart when I dropped it in the feeder.........DYEUZ wrote:For a 50 unit block , should last 5 days. 10 units per day .
Now I have to put another block and start all over again.....

Re: Goat Salt Block gone within 24 hrs.
Hey there,
I had mine filled two days ago and it still got 30 units left. So there's probably nothing wrong. You sure that it was a whole block? Once happened to me that I wanted to choose 'Fill bait site' but must have chosen 'Fill 10 units instead', because the next day it was empty and inactive again.
Nothing random about bait consumption, takes ten unit per 24 hours just like the other bait sites.
Maybe one may call it random that there's sometimes a huge group of goats next to the feeder, and sometimes only a small number. But I don't think that's random. It always spawns a small number of individuals that are usually roaming around the feeder. The goats follow some kind of herd behaviour. Seem to roam the map in large groups. I think that when a group like this spawns within the 250m-attraction radius of the feeder, you'll find a large group right at the start of the game. But if you wait in view of the feeder, a herd will come by sooner or later. Not sure, because I never read anything official on this, but I got a strong feeling it works that way.
Cheers,
Wehrwolf.

What exactly do you mean? The bait use? Or the attraction?calamar2000 wrote:For the goat it's random ... so for me useless! your turn to judge !

Gas, I experienced a similar problem to this a while back and mentioned it in another thread. No one else stated they had experienced the same thing and I haven't used bait since, so I never looked into it further. Now that I see this thread, I might start looking into this again. There were two separate occasions within one week that I know I filled feeders-- since I was out the bait and out the exact number of refills I know I had used from my brand new stack of launcher refills-- and by the next day the feeders were completely empty. I'm planning to fill my goat feeders for next week. I'll keep an eye out to see if it happens to me again.

The game must have just had a hic-up and then swallowed instead,...
