Question about dry spells...

Post by StephenWVU »

Just wondering if the game has a way of lowering the number of animals on any given hunt?

Usually the animals are thick enough to walk from one end of the map to the other without getting a tick from the grass, but I recently went through 3-4 hunts where not only did I manage to kill 0-1 critter I only saw or tracked or even heard a handful, in a full 4 hour hunt (game time).

Was it bad luck or is the game totally random with animal spawns?

I'm back to killing 5-15 animals a hunt now doing comps but those hunts were brutal :(

All part of the game man. It happens to all of us. I have a superstition (which I'm sure others do), usually when I'm in a slump, I change my tracking color. Usually does the trick, or at least in my head.

I respawn and immediately quit for a couple different lodges then go back to where I want to hunt from. Seems to work for me

The amount of animals spawned is always the same.

Bjorn:

Speaking of which, will the launch of the new map with 3 animal species only include 150 animals total to start? Or have these numbers been increased initially to offset the limit of only 3 animal species? To be pared back as new species are introduced?

Thanks.
