Piccabeen Bay & tree stands

Post by Dhyani »

Hi,

i'm trying to place tree stand (single/double) in Piccabeen bay - trying all trees around, but none of them let me do that. Do you have any suggestion? (i know i do something terribly wrong)

I think you choose a wrong tree to place your TS.
I have 2 TS in Piccabeen Bay and I tried in different trees without any problems.

Maybe you choose a very thin/thick tree?

Most of the small white '' palm tress '' accept TS. Some bigger trees , the ones with no branches on lower part , also accept some TS .
Also, in some occasion , some trees , it will show you that's its not possible to put up a TS there , but , just move a little to the sides of that tree and it could work .

The trees with the outlandish roots do not take TStands, go for the tall ones with no visable roots and few branches. there are loads of them around. 8-)
My opinion may not be right, but it is the one I like most :D

In this video I try several types. You should see which work.
The very wide ones work but you need to walk up the root.

They do , u just have to move close to the roots. I have 2 Double Stands on 2 of those trees and had zero probs placing them.

Id still recommend using the Piccabean Palms tho , as u get 360 Vision on them in your Stand if u use a Double.
Ud also find a Piccabean with a absolute gorgeous Position for a Stand on nearly all open Spots were u can easily manage to establish a wide shooting range for yourself covering all angles this way.
