Re: Bobcat hunting technique suggestion...
Guys, to add to my testing , here is something else i've noticed ...
Like you know , i have my Ecaller at 13@15 meters from TS , for bow hunting them .
We also know now , that 80 @ 100 meters is pretty much the maxed distances for the predator caller ,to be effective, to attract them .
When you see that Bobcat inside that range , coming slowly to the Ecaller , you can use the predator caller to have him '' never mind the Ecaller '' reaction change.
Meaning , that he will come , trotting to the TS . It did that for me , many times now .
For you to use or not . Not 100% fail proof .
If you do try it , let me know if you get same reaction change.

Will the motion decoy distract them from the e-caller location?
anyone try it yet?
anyone try it yet?
The above statements are strictly my opinion, and should not be taken as fact, even if I believe them to be true.

No, they walk or trot right past both motion decoy and e-caller.DHRifleman wrote:Will the motion decoy distract them from the e-caller location?

They slow to a walk or stop about8-10 m out. About 1 in 3 will look up to the tree stand and you have about 2 sec to get a shot off before they flee.
Also noticed that spooked cats stay close and can be called back.
Also if there are deer near and they do there short sprints, be ready for a cat to show up.

It's 425 em$ for the bobcat caller. The first price in the store was a mistake.

This is also what some would call abusing exploits...ArwenerI wrote:For those who didnot own the Ecaller:
Place a tent right in front of the middle tower(tower 1) lader in Loggers point. Spawn at the lodge at 10:00 then fast travel to tent (2 camping suplies are needed) get on the tower and you will spot two bobcats every time, most of the times its outside the tent. After harvesting them search around a bit then if you fast travel again to the tent you may find more roaming.
