Can we hunt BCats without the E-Caller?
Hi, everyone.
Well, the bobcat is here and I'm so excited about it.
But the thing is, can we hunt them without the E-Caller?
I tried the Predator Jackrabbit Caller but I had no chance to lure them.
Is there anybody in here that could hunt them without the E-Caller?
Thanks.

I tried without electronics but with the call and with great patience I saw a bopcat approach and flee very quickly ...HD_Artworks wrote:Hi, everyone.

with the electronic sound the bopcat are attracted and walks gently and furtively. Façile then to aim well because they are very very fast !!

Re: Can we hunt BCats without the E-Caller?
I shot 6 on my 1st hunt for bobcats.
and yes,.... I killed 2 without the e-caller,... I snuck up to them when I heard them growl.
But they both were not that close and I used the .243.
The other 4 I killed with the PP bow using the e-caller.
I did use the predator call to initiate calling on 2 in conjunction with the e-caller but I don't know if it made any difference.
I don't see why the predator call wouldn't work when they are in range if you don't spam it a lot like the devs said, but probably not as nearly efficient as the e-caller by a long shot.

I think i found good place to hunt on RB... river crossing and you can spot it from far... Jackrabbit caller dont work... but someone say its working but must be under 100m and just one single call for 10 minute. Im not sure about caller but in this river i hunt down 2 bobcat and saw (dont spot bcz was too far) other 2.

Use a predator decoy near your Ecaller as well it draws them in less spook, especially in tree stand

Well, I'm not a patient hunter! Maybe I could find them while I hunting other animals!calamar2000 wrote:I tried without electronics but with the call and with great patience I saw a bobcat approach and flee very quickly
One of the reasons is EW need to earn money and sell items!gas56 wrote:I don't see why the predator call wouldn't work when they are in range if you don't spam it...
Thanks, buddy.Eraser_SK wrote:I think i found good place to hunt on RB
I will try my luck in RB in my next hunt.
Thanks. But I don't have the predator decoy and ECaller right now.supercelldrw wrote:Use a predator decoy near your Ecaller as well it draws them in less spook, especially in tree stand

Re: Can we hunt BCats without the E-Caller?
I tried the predator caller for couple hunts in WHI, because i didn't have the Ecaller at that time , and all that came were coyotes , of course .
Not really sure they work as EW said it was , even if the attraction is very minimal .
When i bought the Ecaller , it worked ok. Just wished the Bobcat would come in a little quicker . The roe doe is not the slowest anymore in the EHR .
I must say that i saw one come running to the caller at one point ! Was into TS and needed to react quickly .

Re: Can we hunt BCats without the E-Caller?
I tried the Predator caller in RB in my previous hunt and I think it works but not in a long range!
I heard a call from a bobcat in about 100m from me and I get closer and use the Predator caller.
After few moment I see the bobcat is trotting towards me then he spooked because he see me!
So, the Predator caller is working but in short range(less than 100m I think).
IMO, hunting them in WHI and SC without the ECaller and Tree stand is a little harder than RB and LP!
