Two types of 30-06 Ammunition

Hello,

I saw that there are two types of 30-06 Ammunition. The Round Nose and the Nosler Partition. Can you tell if there is any difference in penetration or something??

reason for the two different types is because the original 30-06 (lever action) was made with the partition rounds. the problem with this is that when the bullets are loaded they are nose-to-firing pin and thats an accident waiting to happen irl.

so it was recently corrected and we now have the roundnose ammunition.

but because we have the bolt action the partition rounds were kept and now the two 30-06's use different ammo types.

I will say that is a small difference. Specially in penetration at long range. But probably is just my imagination and that I want to see a difference.

The question is the scope. The scope in the level action is a x6 and the one in the Classic model I think is a x4. So is easier to shoot (and quicker the level action IMHO).

Maybe too few penetration?
