Next they'll want us to charge for a dog camo app. Because there's no way to tell if the dog camo vests works atm. (only if you have the same camo set on)

I'm not so sure this item is even necessary, you can look in the direction you think it's at and press V and your lil doggie will have a bright white outline. Of course most of you probably know this.

well, it is just an item to make it easier for the player. the ones who need it will appreciate it while the ones that can work with the white outline will stay away from it.

You try doing that V outline on WRR and if you manage to see where your hound is good luck half the time you can't tell due to all the white. It definitely helps out there massively.

When they first introduced dogs last year, I suggested that they should add a marker on the huntermate, so you knew where the dog was, because back then, my dog would go missing all the time, due to getting stuck. Didn't happen.

But when they added the scent hounds, you could finally see their loaction while holding V, so that works for me.

But seeing that they now added what I had in mind and want money for it? They should just have put it in the game. Then it could be an option for people to turn on/off, or whatever.

I bought the GPS immediately.

I use camo vest on my dog so it disappears FAST when trailing something... and often I am clueless WHERE the dog ran off to, or how far ahead it is... especially if a wounded animal makes a sound that the huntermate picks up, or I pick up a track and it shows the animal close by... I then NEED to know how far away my dog is so I can call it back, force it to lie down or just let it roll cause it most likely spooked the animal already.

With the GPS tag it lets me see where the dog is at a glance.

While this is true you could just as easily argue that the whole dog is unnecessary since you can just follow tracks manually by looking.

For me the dog is a "driving aid" which just makes certain aspects of the game a bit easier... and the GPS tag further makes things easier by letting me find the dog instantly. Neither dog or the GPS tag is needed though.

Personally I am willing to shell out some em$'s for a quality of life improvement which is really all the dog, and subsequently the GPS tag, is.

The only place it makes it easier is WRR. If this item is worth 350 em$ to them, I say go for it.
