i have been looking to buy the retail box for a week or so now , and all i can find is sites in german i would like to find a site in English or french so i could at least read the web page and understand what i am reading. if someone finds a site that is in English or french could you plz post a link to it here plz.

You can always translate the pages to English using google translate. And many sites have an English option, you just have to look for it sometimes...

why cant you just put this new pathfinder pack on steam to skip all the hassle of getting this gun. or better, let us just purchase it from the shop directly so people like me dont get 1k em$ for nothing?

There's nothing "shady" about it. They have contracts with retailers, and most retailers don't want the company directly completing with the product they are selling. In this case, the retail box with the premium 45-70. Almost all industries that use retail sales distribution have these kinds of restrictions.

and i got 6 months playtime and the engraved gun pretty much immediately.
seems incredibly cheap so i was surprised to see it working

I never heard of different codes for different countries. In my opinion it will work all over the world.

Yesterday a friend in Indonesia (greetings 2 syr ) gets a retail code from a box ordered by me at amazon.de here in germany, code was working without problems.
