30-06 with 220 grains
7mm 175 grains

And both in a multi-shot bolt action!

The very first thing I checked was which weapons are ethical to use in the new reserve. Glad to see that the K98k was fine to use! Really looking forward to buy and try the new rifle!

Where did you check this information?
I've looked in the Wiki, read at least three Updates and with the exception of this forum thread I've found no listing of the permitted weapons for the new map species.
There should be an official Forum thread for new reserve and animal releases like this one so the necessary information is readily accessible to the customers. Just a suggestion.
If there is a thread and I missed it, then I digress.

Shoot it with birdshot and you'll receive the list on your inbox, courtesy of Doc.

I do that, but that's because I'm a fanatic.
EDIT: On the old days you could go to the licenses page and at every species there was a list of permmited ammo. Idk why they took that off.

there's still something i don't get . it's what the american natives used to use to get these beasts down . if i'm not wrong it was longbow right ?? and yes i confirm bisons are tanks on legs , needed to shoot 3 9.3x62 bullets to make her give back her soul

I've found that the 7mm is a little underpowered at range. It's a GREAT round for bison in my experience, under 50 metres...but past 100 or so, it's a bit weak, even with what seem to be lethal shots.

strange they choose a 45-70 as "lady badass" at all. both with usual factory loads a .270 win outperforms a 45-70 regarding kinetic energy...

well... nice new weapon but as usual strange ethics and strange artificial programming of weapons power.
