This is what I mean.
When you saw on the leaderboards, you will find several guys with the same rank.
For example rank 12. There are 7 guys at rank 12. Why Mr. Milic placed at the top of rank 12?
Because he has the best CSS accumulation from 250 kills with his .22 cal handgun.
MILIC unlocked his handgun at 2014-10-18, and JPCLARA67 unlocked his handgun at 2014-10-15.
MILIC finished it 3 days after JPCLARA67, but you can see ... MILIC at the top at rank 12.
This is just my personal experience and I have prove it for several times.
Next time if the devs launch a new weapon, get it and try to kill only the male.
Only 250 kills to unlock a weapon right?? But if you focus on males, maybe you need 5 days or a week to unlock that new weapon.
But once again. ...prove it yourself. Don't trust my words.

Interesting theory... Where are you looking up CSS values?
Did you look through hunt histories for all kills with the last weapon for which HS was awarded?
How long did that take?

The leaderboard ranks with the same amount of points appear to be sorted by the date when the players joined the game (I think T0MRf5 suggested this once). I checked the four players that are currently rank 5. The younger the player, the higher on the list.

As you can see, the younger the player, the better the rank.

Still you remember when we were at rank 7?
You and I at the same rank, but I placed after you.
You are senior and I am a junior.. but that time the rank shows you at the top.
From that time, I try to learn how someone can placed at the top.
Then I try for the 1st time with the 7mm bullup. kill 90% up males to unlock that weapon.
And I don't believe it. Someone have finished it in 3 days, but I need a week or more.
But when I finished my job, I placed before him at the same rank.
I do the same with .22cal pistol, only kill something that have score. Rabbits and Turkeys.
Of course, I shoot 3 or 5 pheasants on the ground too...but I keep focus on rabbits.
And still do the same with the 30.30 cal Lone Star. Only kill Males and/or ibex.
Because a female Ibex has score...

The question is : Can you or can they accept that, if the rank were sorted by the date the player joined?
A senior placed at the bottom at the rank and the younger at the top.
I think there must be "something".. a reason why I placed before you or other at the same rank.

Because in my opinion, Not fair if the rank sorted by the date the player joined.
Especially for a senior hunter. They will always at the bottom at the rank.
