I'm currently writing a guide for the Steam Community on the various firearms, ballistics, etc, and given all of your information, I was wondering if you would mind if I republished a few of your images and graphs, especially those in this thread, but also your weapon comparison data as posted here, as part of the forthcoming guide.

Now I understand with the recent ballistics overhaul much of this data may not be entirely accurate, especially regarding pistols and shotguns, as the latest news update mentioned, but the general conclusions that can be drawn from your data are still quite relevant, especially for a newcomer. Currently the guide, when published, is set up as a rather basic primer. HOwever, as more data becomes available with the new ballistics model and as other weapons are updated, I do intend on fully updating it into a thorough guide, the foundation of which will - if you will be carrying out these experiments under the new model - be your data and the conclusions on weapon selection and the like which can be derived from it.

If you've any questions, please, PM me and hopefully we can work something out.

Feel free. A reference to where it comes from would be good. Although as you have noted the current information in the thread you linked to is quite wrong now. The bows are still good albeit real world differences are hard to gauge from the data.

Of course, and yeah I planned on crediting you obviously, with links to all 3 of your signatured guides/images in there.

To revisit the accuracy of the data, as I said, I know it's wrong, but I think that - generally speaking - the conclusions that can be gleaned from it are still accurate enough for at least a Firearms 101 or Newbie Gun Primer type of deal... And obviously all that info will be updated when/if the research is re-examined under the new model.

Interesting but disapointing gamebalance wise.

Seems like the trend goes to superweapons. For now you only need the 7mm, pumpaction and a snakebite and youre settled. No need for any other weapon.
