Re: Tip of the week [NOMINATE]
Having trouble keeping the gun from wobbling too much when trying to line up a shot?
Going prone causes animal to disappear from sight in vegetation so stay crouched and bring up weapon and start walking slow with gun in fire position.
You will gain a little extra height than just staying still and crouched wobble will be greatly diminished and animal won't spook within time you get to hold on animal and fire at it.

CHOSEN AS THE TIP OF THE WEEK
Having trouble climbing? Keep "W" pressed while climbing all the time and do not stop moving up to center your ballance perfectly before climbing up further. Keep pressing "W" to climb up and just make sure you stay away from the orange and red zones on the mini-game. Also note that the corrections you make with "A" and "D" have a small delay. With this advice you should have less trouble climbing.

TIP- Some tips for Ibex hunting. When hunting in for Ibex in Val Des Bois make sure that you scan everywhere with your binoculars. They camouflage very well in the Val Des Bois environment especially on the mountains where they can be mistaken for rocks or not even seen at all. Make sure that you scan around before taking a shot, a lot of the time they travel in groups where there may be a big male. One last tip is make sure when shooting Ibex that are on high slopes of mountains that the Ibex can easily side down the mountain into a position where you can collect it. If you want to collect your Ibex (Which you always should) Remember there is a possibly that it may get stuck and out of reach for you to harvest, so make sure you check.

We have a great new reserve: Val-des-Bois.
Most important tip for this reserve: A First Aid Kit is not optional!
Until you learn to use the ropes and know how close you can go to the edge, take first aid kits with.
It will save you restarting at a lodge or tent every time you fall.

When you start sliding down a hillside, many times you can avoid being hurt if you turn towards the slope and keep walking or running. This will slow down the falling.

When ibex hunting in VdB, before using binoc or a scope to focus on any specific area, get a good amount of rendered space in your view, and have nothing in your hands ( use the "H" key ). Then sit back a bit from your monitor and don't focus on any thing in particular. Your eye is more likely to catch the "not like the others" movement. There is a timed flash of certain objects in the distance, almost like a blinking LED. When you see that you'll see the timing, and things that violate that are basically rendered animals.

This might be obvious, but it helped me lot.
If you don't like the shadows / dark areas in the east side of Val-des-Bois, set your starting time at noon, or 11 AM or so.
You'll have a fantastic big floodlight above you!
